“Siksik droga sa chitchirya” gang attempts to victimize OFW

Police authorities in Malolos, Bulacan nabbed two alleged drug peddlers who attempted to send illegal drugs to a Middle East country.

Their modus was clever. They would use unsuspecting OFWs as drug mules by stashing illegal drugs inside bags of chips

Authorities arrested Alex Bamba and one alias Patricio through a buy-bust operation in Guiguinto, Bulacan on August 4, according to GMA News.

The arrest came following a tip-off from an OFW who noticed that the bag of chips handed by the suspects contain narcotics.

Police Superintendent Heryl Bruno, Chief of Malolos Police Station, said the suspects are connected to a big-time drug syndicate in Tarlac.

No further details were given as to how the OFW got the bags of chips from the two.

Middle East countries impose stiff laws against illegal drugs. Offenders of drug trafficking often land on death row.
