Emirates NBD clients can now pay DEWA bills using credit card

Emirates NBD customers can now pay electricity and water dues in installments without interest and extra charges using the bank’s credit card.

Emirates NBD partnered with Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) to allow the bank’s credit card users pay their bills in installments for up to 12 months without extra charges, WAM reported Monday.  

The service is applicable to DEWA bills worth Dh500 and above.

Emirates NBD credit card users may avail of the service using the bank’s online or mobile banking application, which offers customers the option of choosing an installment payment plan, or contact the bank’s customer service on 800-3623.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, said the partnership will allow Dubai residents pay DEWA bills effortlessly.

“We always work to adopt innovative channels and mechanisms that enhance the quality of our services and achieve customer happiness. [The] new service, in partnership with Emirates NBD, enables its customers pay their DEWA bills in installments effortless, to make everybody happy,”  Al Tayer said.

Abdulla Qassem, Group Chief Operating Officer of Emirates NBD, said the bank’s project is “aligned to our leaders’ vision in making Dubai a globally-leading smart city”.
