Price of gold edges lower globally

The price of gold edged lower globally, but remained unchanged in the Dubai after hitting a one-month high rate

Gold investors can purchase a 24-carat gold at Dh152.25 per gram in Dubai, the so-called “City of Gold” while a 22-carat gold is priced at Dh143.

Spot gold slipped by 0.2 percent to $1,252.90 per ounce from $1.258.79 in the previous season, the highest rate since June 23.

Today’s gold price is lower compared to previous seasons. On June 7, the price of 24-carat gold rose by as much as Dh156.50 per gram.

The Filipino Times reported on July 9 that the price of a 24-karat gold went as low as Dh146.75, while 22-carat gold was then priced at Dh139.

The US dollar also rose from an almost 10-month low due to speculations ahead on US Federal Reserve, which previously faced uncertainty over the pace of the Federal Reserve’s tightening.
