Motorists have been urged to drive with caution over the next three mornings as the UAE expects a drop in temperature and foggy conditions over the coming days.
A forecaster from the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) told local media, “On Monday, the western area can expect a 3 degrees Celsius to 4C drop in temperatures. The rest of the country will experience the same beginning Tuesday and on Wednesday.”
The gradual drop in temperature will continue until winter comes in December.
NCMS advised motorists to drive with caution as fog could reduce visibility to 500 metres in western areas, specifically in Abu Dhabi towards Al Ruwais and Sila areas.
The forecaster clarified that the drop in temperature will happen during the hottest time of the day between 2pm and 3pm. This means that the areas aforementioned will now have 33C to 35C and the mountain areas will have relatively cooler weather, 24C to 28C.
“All in all, we will see a drop in temperatures of about 5C over the next three days,” the forecaster said.
The gradual drop in temperature will continue until winter comes in December.
