UAE-based Influential Filipinas in the world speak up

DUBAI: Four Filipinas, who were among the 100 most influential Filipinas in the world have shared how their struggles during their yearning years have become their inspirations to success on a panel discussion moderated by Karen Remo, Managing Director of New Perspective Media (NPM) on the second day of the Philippine Property and Investment Exhibition at JW Marriott Hotel.

Mary Jane Alvero Al Mahdi, CEO of Geoscience Testing Laboratory, a leading independent, testing laboratory in the Middle East; Arlene Pulido, head of development and training department of Al Tamimi & Company, largest law firm in the UAE; Wafa Qasimieh, senior cultural adviser, Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department of the Government of Dubai (IACAD), and chairperson of Bayanihan Festival 2016; and Irene Corpuz, section head – Planning & IT Security at Western Region Municipality, in Abu Dhabi briefly shared how they rose up from their difficult childhood to where they are now.

All four empowered women also encouraged those who are listening in the discussion to save up their hard-earned money and invest either in business or in property so they will not stay as OFWs until they reach their retirement age.
