Filipino winner to split AED 100,000 winnings with five friends

49-year old Filipino expat Orlando Viray became thousands of dirhams richer when he won the third place of AED 100,000 in Big Ticket’s live draw series 225 held last March 3.

The Abu Dhabi-based OFW revealed that he had been purchasing Big Ticket entries together with five of his friends since October 2020, with each person contributing AED 100 for them to buy one ticket.

Last February, it was Viray’s turn to put his name in the lot and he was at home when he received the call from Richard, who informed him that he won the third prize. Viray said that he initally couldn’t believe that he heard his name and thanked Richard for the unexpected great news.

“If you are thinking of winning the big prize, keep on buying entries to Big Ticket. You have to continue buying so that your lucky day will soon come to you,” said Viray.
