Authorities on Friday nabbed two men who tried to sell around 12 billion leaked passwords and usernames in an online website.
Police arrested two suspects, both 22, in a separate operation in Arnhem City, east of the Netherlands and in Northern Ireland.
Arnhem police raided the Dutch suspect’s house after receiving a tip from Dutch cyber crime unit.
During the raid, authorities found professional equipment being utilized in selling hacked information through their WeLeakInfo website, according to AFP.
AFP added that the domain of the website has been seized by FBI in cooperation with European law enforcement agencies.
The suspects allegedly farmed the leaked data from websites such as LinkedIn and MyFitnessPal.
WeLeakInfo.com allegedly offered unlimited access to hacked passwords and usernames for two dollars a day(7.35 AED) or 25 dollars a month (92 AED).
Dutch authorities declined to provide further information as the investigation is still ongoing.
