Pinoy game on Kickstarter reaches Dh 110,000 in support

A group of Filipinos based from Naga have recently achieved and even exceeded their target goal in Kickstarter as they pitched their game “Grand Guilds” at the funding platform, reaching more than twice their intended target since the campaign was launched.

From their target of $12,000 (Dh 44,000), the Pinoy-made game now has over $30,000 (Dh 110,000) of support from backers all over the world. “We’re here on Kickstarter to make sure that Grand Guilds can be the best that it can be. Our backers will be able to help shape the game through feedback and beta testing so hopefully Grand Guilds can reach its full potential,” said one of the company’s representatives in Grand Guild’s official Kickstarter video.

The game revolves around the story of Eliza who seeks a shot towards redemption after failing her oath and mission to protect the royal family. “Grand Guilds is a story-driven, tactical RPG mixed with a unique card combat system. The story follows Eliza, a former knight who failed to protect the Royal family and is now part of a guild where she seeks redemption,” said the representative.

The game promises an immersive gaming experience with its turn-based strategy, unique card combat system, guild quests, voice acting, epic narrative and many more.

Fellow Filipinos on Reddit lauded the efforts of the Grand Guilds team, stating that people must have loved the gameplay that’s reminiscent of Final Fantasy Tactics.
