If there’s one thing that Facebook has been consistent in since its inception, it’s their feature that allows users to easily see which of their friends and family members will be celebrating their birthday. And now, Facebook’s latest feature adds a bit more life to that as they will be introducing a new set of templates through their Stories!

With over 500 million people around the world that use the feature as per Facebook’s announcement, the social media giant reports that their ‘stories’ feature is among its fastest-growing format for sharing stories – which may entail that they will soon port core features from the current News Feed as users know it, into the new one, as per a report from The Verge.

How it works

When you open your stories and one of your close friends is celebrating their birthday, there will be a selection of tiles on the stories tray that will prompt you to post your own greeting.

After that you can either take your picture, short video, or even use the music sticker to add a soundtrack for your personalized greeting! Users can likewise select from a several pre-made digital birthday cards created by Facebook.
