No high-fives, only fist bumps allowed for fans to interact with NBA players

NBA league has instructed its players that they should avoid ‘high fives’ as well as taking items to autograph from fans, as the league released a memo of recommendations to fight the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
Fan interaction would be limited to simple fist bumps with their NBA idols.
“The coronavirus remains a situation with the potential to change rapidly. The NBA and the Players Association will continue to work with leading experts and team physicians to provide up-to-date information and recommended practices that should be followed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus,” stated the instruction of the NBA league for 30 teams, as per Reuters.
NBA affirms that the management is keeping an eye on COVID-19 reports as it coordinates with the Centers for Disease Control, experts, as well as a renowned infectious disease researcher from the Columbia University to ensure the safety of all players, staff, and fans.
ESPN reported the possible threat the virus poses if it becomes worse as it will affect the games’ pre-draft combines, on-site workouts and international scouting.
