Oklahoma City Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander won over 22 points during their team’s match on the hard court against San Antonio Spurs with a 131-103 home victory, last February 23.
The match up saw a huge 16 consecutive point lead starting on the second quarter, buoyed by balanced scoring efforts for majority of the game, as per reports from Reuters.
Thunder rookie Luguentz Dort scored two shots during the 16-0 run with a huge three-pointer that led the team 52-45 during the first half of the game. Dort proved his skills on the game with 6 of 6 from the field, including 2 of 2 from 3-point range, to finish with 15 points.
The game likewise saw eight Thunder players scoring double digits – a first for the Oklahoma City-based team.
On the other end, San Antonio shot a season-low 36.9 percent from the field as their recent loss ended their two-game winning streak to 2-6.
San Antonio defeated the Thunder earlier on the trip, with LaMarcus Aldridge and Dejounte Murray leading the way as DeMar DeRozan sat out. DeRozan had 11 points but was just 4 of 12 from the field. Rudy Gay’s 14 points were a team high.
