Olympic silver medalist Hidilyn Diaz managed to dominate the Weightlifting World Cup held in Rome, Italy, smashing the competition in the women’s 55kg category.

The Southeast Asian Games champion lifted 93kg in the snatch and 119kg in the clean and jerk for a total of 212kg. She won three gold medals.

Ukraine’s Kamila Konotop of Ukraine took two silvers with a total lift of 196kg and 90kg lift in the snatch.

Russia’s Kristina Novitskaia managed to bag silver in clean and jerk after lifting 109kg lift.

Nouha Landoulsi from Tunisia won three bronzes with 194kg total lift, 86kg in the snatch, and 108kg in the clean and jerk.

Diaz is currently at no.4 in the 2019 Annual Ranking to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in July.

Eight lifters will qualify based from the world points by the International Weightlifting Federation Absolute Ranking in May.
