June Mar Fajardo tops race for PBA’s MVP title

San Miguel Beer’s big man may just clinch another title in the best player of the conference (BPC) race.

June Mar Fajardo made an exit with San Miguel in the season-ending of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Governor’s Cup quarterfinals with a statistical point average of 38.8.

The six-footer favorite had averages of 19.3 points, 14.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 blocks in the tournament.

Rookie of the Year CJ Perez of Columbian came in next in the BPC race with a 37.2 statistical point average. NorthPort’s new star and franchise player Christian Standhardinger came in next with 35.1 statistical point average.

NLEX’s Kiefer Ravena finished at fourth place with 34.5 and TNT playmaker Jason Castro registered 31.6 statistical point average.

The others who made it to BPC’s Top 10 are NorthPort’s Stanley Pringle (30.8), TNT’s Roger Pogoy (30.4), Ginebra’s Japeth Aguilar (29.9), Meralco’s Chris Newsome (29.8), and Gin King’s LA Tenorio and Magnolia’s Ian Sangalang with 28.0 statistical point average.
