Liverpool has beaten Leicester Leicester to open up a 13-point lead on the Premier League title race, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.
Liverpool showed its eagerness to end its 30-yer wait to win the title as it outclassed the Leicester from start to finish, scoring 4-0 against the Foxes.
Right back player Alexander-Arnold showed his prowess to the game, especially at the end when he blasted low and hard beyond Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel into the bottom corner.
The AFP report furthers that the club’s manager Jurgen Klopp does not want to celebrate prematurely until they get the title.
As for Leicester, Schmeichel said the loss is an inspiration to improve their performance to keep their heads in the game.
“We take this as inspiration, that’s the level. Those are probably the two best teams in the world at the minute and that’s the level we have to aspire to be,” AFP quoted him as saying.
