Private companies helping out to ease SEA Games woes

Private companies and individuals are now helping out to ease the burden in hosting the 30th Southeast Asian Games, particularly in the football tournaments.

Philippine Football Federation President Mariano “Nonong” Araneta told Inquirer.net that Southridge School in Alabang offered its pitch to be one of the practice venues.

Vallacar Transit, which owns the Ceres Bus line, allowed 18 of its units to be used to transport teams to their matches.

The 18 buses will be for the 11 men’s team and six female squads. A spare bus in on stand-by case of emergency.

“There are well-meaning individuals and companies that are willing to help us to make this SEA Games successful,” the organizer said.

PH football team manager Dan Palami said they are grateful for the support of the Philippine Football Federation for the team.

“We’re there not to criticize, but to help.”
