Albay Representative Joey Salceda said the controversial Php50 million cauldron or kaldero which will be used at the Southeast Asian Games is ‘Imeldific’ but considered as reasonable.

“Yung P55 million pag tiningnan mo ‘yung cauldron mukhang resonable naman kaso ‘Imeldific’ yung dating, may grandiosity,” Salceda said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon said the Php55 million cauldron could be used to build at least 56 classrooms.

The design of the cauldron costs Php4.4 million, 32 million was alloted for its construction.

Salceda said: “Imeldific, yes. But I think it is only proportional to the new and bolder character of the Filipino as coming of age and breaking into the field of emerging tigers.”
