Letran’s Batiller says he’s to blame for Game 2 Finals defeat

Letran Knights player Bonbon Batiller said he is to blame for his team losing their chance to win the championship during the Game 2 of NCAA finals against the San Beda Red Lions.

San Beda narrowly won by 77-76, after a clutch and-one lay-up by MVP Calvin Oftana.

Batiller on the other hand got his opportunity to have his lay-up but missed the shot.

He tried clipping James Canlas to stop the clock but he was fouled after.

Canlas managed to do free throws allowing Red Lions to survive and head on to the Finals Game 3.

“Isang shot na lang, isang lay-up ko na lang, t*****a, champion na, s**t. Para sa akin, ako ang nagpatalo sa game,” Batiller said after the game.

Batiller said he was ashamed of himself because he could’ve led his team to victory.

“Nahihiya ako sa teammates ko kasi, isang shot na lang, isang lay-up ko na lang. Kung na-convert ko ‘yun, hindi ganoon ang takbo ng game. Pero p*******a, nadulas talaga,” he said.

Batiller said he’s grateful to his team for having his back.

“Wala akong narinig [na masama] sa mga teammates ko. Ganoon ako kabilib sa mga teammate ko. Ganoon nila ako kamahal, ganoon ko sila kamahal,” he said.

Batiller added he is more than ready now to face the Red Lions on the Game 3 of the NCAA men’s basketball season finals.
