Mired at the bottom of the standings in the ongoing PBA Governors’ Cup, NorthPort has decided to change its import.
Michael Qualls has been tapped as the new import of the Batang Pier and is expected to make his Philippine debut against the powerhouse San Miguel Beermen.
Qualls replaced Mychal Ammons, who could only lead the Batang Pier to a 2-4 (win-loss) start in the season-ending conference.
Per a report by Spin.ph, Qualls is a product of Arkansas who had stints in the G-League and in the Israeli League.
NorthPort sent Ammons despite emerging victorious in its last assignment against the Phoenix Fuel Masters, 80-70. (CC)
