Potential Pacquiao opponent hurt in car accident

American boxer, Errol Spence Jr., who is rumored to be the next opponent of Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, was injured after figuring in a car accident recently in Dallas.

Spence, who holds the WBC and IBF welterweight crowns, was thrown out of his Ferrari car, which flipped over multiple times on Riverfront Boulevard, a report by FOX News said.

The undefeated welterweight boxing world champion is already out of danger after sustaining facial lacerations, the report said.

The report added that Spence’s vehicle was traveling at high speed when it went across a center median and flipped over several times, throwing the boxer out of the car.

The 29-year-old Spence unified the World Boxing Council and International Boxing Federation titles two weeks ago with a split-decision victory over fellow American Shawn Porter in Los Angeles.

Pacquiao was one of those who wished Spence well after the accident. “Praying for @ErrolSpenceJr,” he tweeted.

Another possible future foe of Spence, World Boxing Organization champion Terrence Crawford also tweeted: “Praying for you champ @ErrolSpenceJr get well we fighters I know you will.”
