Two matches of the Rugby World Cup in Japan were preemptively canceled due to Typhoon Hagibis.
The matches that were canceled were between England and France and New Zealand and Italy, as per a report from CNN.
World Cup authorities are also evaluating whether additional matches on Sunday will also be called off.
Japan is this year’s host of the Rugby World Cup.
Teams will get two points each in canceled games in line with tournament rules.
This will affect who qualifies for the next round of the competition, particularly in Pool B, which includes host Japan.
The match between Japan and Scotland on Sunday is still awaiting the decision from authorities as it will take place in Yokohama, a city where Hagibis will also traverse.
