LA Lakers blow out Golden State Warriors in NBA preseason debut

The new-look Los Angeles Lakers showed a lot of promise in their pre-season NBA debut as they routed the Golden State Warriors, 123-101.

Anthony Davis debuted for the Lakers in style after tallying 22 points and 10 rebounds in just two quarters of play.

Davis, acquired from the Pelicans in the offseason, combined with LeBron James and Javale McGee to dominate the paint with 22 points combined as the Lakers spoiled the Warriors’ first game at their new Chase Center home, an Associated Press report said.

James wound up with 15 points and also sat out in the final half.

Troy Daniels added 14 points and Alex Caruso had 10 for the Lakers.

Steph Curry topped the Warriors with 18 markers.
