Olympic silver medalist Hidylyn Diaz bagged two bronze medals at the recently held 2019 International Weightlifting Federation World Championships held in Thailand.
“It is a privilege given by God to represent my beloved country, Philippines in a prestigious competition at the IWF World Championship 2019. Thank you @PSC for the support given to the whole Philippine Weightlifting team,” Diaz said in a tweet.
The athlete broke the Philippines’ medal drought in the 2016 Rio Olympics when she won a silver medal in weightlifting.

Two women from China snatched the gold and bronze medals in the two categories.
The weightlifting championships will be a qualifier for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
This is Diaz’s fourth straight to compete in the Summer Games.
