Floyd Mayweather’s dad ‘pretty sure’ son will fight Manny Pacquiao again

Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. will fight it out in the ring again, at least according to the latter’s father.

“If Pacquiao says he wants to fight, I’m pretty sure they’re gonna fight again.” Floyd Mayweather Sr. told TMZ Sports.

“My son will kick his ass,” Mayweather Sr. added.

Mayweather Sr. trained his son to triumph in the 2015 clash with Pacquiao. A victory via unanimous decision. Since then, there have been a lot of talks about another bout between the two.

The rematch was floated again in July this year, after both boxers engaged in a word war on social media.

Fresh from winning against Keith Thurman, the Filipino boxer on Twitter called out Mayweather for his Instagram post that criticizes people who use his name whenever Pacquiao is mentioned in the sport.

“If you want to be relevant again, #MayPac2,” Pacquiao responded to the 42-year-old retired boxer.

In what could be a dismissal of a rematch call, Mayweather replied “I make more money than you; I beat you, then I signed you!”

The undefeated American boxer has a professional record of 50 wins, with 27 knockouts.

The 40-year-old Pacquiao, meanwhile, has 62 wins, seven losses, and two draws.
