US tennis superstar Serena Williams made it to the top of Forbes’ list of highest-paid women in sports once again, earning $29.2 million for a period of one year.
According to the business magazine, only $4.2 million of the total amount came from prize money.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Williams earned the top spot.
Williams is followed by Japan’s Naomi Osaka, who earned $24.3 million.
Angelique Kerber, former Wimbledon champion, came in third with $11.8 million in earnings.
The others who made it were Simona Halep ($10.2 million), Sloane Stephens ($9.6 million), Caroline Wozniacki ($7.5 million), Maria Sharapova ($7 million), Karolina Pliskova ($6.3 million), Elina Svitolina ($6.1 million), and tied at tenth place are Venus Williams ($5.9 million) and Garbine Muguruza.
Tennis players mostly dominated Forbes’ annual list.
