Messi faces strained right calf, to miss Barcelona’s exhibition games

Renowned Argentine professional football player Lionel “Leo” Messi won’t join the Barcelona’s exhibition games against Napoli which will be held in the United States of America, after leaving his first preseason training with the club.

Due to strained right calf, Messi withdrew from his training session.

The games will be held at Miami Gardens, Florida, Thursday, and on Saturday at Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Other members including Luis Suarez and newly signed Antoine Griezmann, are expected to travel to Miami.

Barcelona and SSC Napoli are two of the most successful teams in today’s time in the field.

FC Barcelona holds the league record for the most Copa del Rey (30) and Supercopade Espana (13) titles including European records for the most UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup (4) and UEFA Super Cup (5) wins. Barcelona is a 26-time LaLiga and five-time UEFA Champions League champions.

Barcelona’s Spanish league opener will be held at Athletic Bilbao, August 17.
