Pinoy dart athletes compete in KSA on a 1-day tourney

Around 70 Filipino darts players from all over Saudi Arabia have competed on a one-day darts tournament during a summer fest in Al Khobar, Saudi Gazette reported.

The one-day “Win a Gold” darts tournament, which was joined by male and female players, was organized by Eastern Province Darters Association (EPDA) in cooperation with All Filipino Community & Sports Commission (AFCSCOM).

Known players of EPDA as well as Expat Darters of Saudi Arabia (EDSA) from the kingdom’s Eastern, Western, and Central regions displayed their prowess in the sport, such as Cornelio “Nel” Dela Cruz Jr., Jhoneden Alviar, Benedict Montanez, Bert Loyola, Flordeliza Ilagan, Marilou Gonzales, Ronald Que, Gilbert Nantez, Willy De Vera, Jhoneden Alviar, and many otherts.

Dela Cruz won the Men’s Open Singles, while Pamela Jaro of EDSA emerged as the champion of the Ladies Open Singles.

EPDA is an affiliate of AFCSCOM, the biggest organization in Saudi’s Eastern Province that has been supporting the Philippine Embassy and POLO-ERO in their community projects.
