NBA star Jeremy Lin ‘hits rock bottom’

Remember the man behind “Linsanity” hysteria back in 2012?

More than five years after that, the celebrated first Asian-American NBA player broke down and cried at a church in Taiwan after hitting ‘rock bottom’ in his career as a free agent.

Jeremy Lin was speaking to fellow church-mates in New Taipei City Sunday church event.

He told them in an interview that the free agency was the “last straw that broke the camel’s back”.

Lin tried to compose himself but he still cried while sharing his struggles.

Lin became instrumental in leading the New York Knicks in 2012 to a seven-game win streak that levels their record at 15-15.

But he suffered a serious knee injury in 2017 while playing for Brooklyn Nets. His stint with the Toronto Raptors was also mostly spent on being benched during the entire playoffs.

In spite of what he went through, Lin told the 2,000 churchgoers that turned up to hear him speak to “don’t give up”.
