Boxing champion and fighting Philippine Senator Manny Pacquiao is temporarily hanging his gloves for the rest of 2019.
Pacquiao said there’s a lot of legislative work to be done after the Senate resumed its regular session as per a report from ABS-CBN.
Among the other things that he wants to tackle include the revival of the death penalty, the establishment of a department concerning homeland security, and the annual budget.
However, this does not mean he is retiring from fighting in the ring yet.
Pacquiao told ABS-CBN in a visit that another fight may be on early next year.
Last week, the 40-year-old Pacquiao became the undisputed WBA welterweight champion after he defeated Keith Thurman in a split decision.
