It will be a faceoff against Thailand and Vietnam for the UAE players as matches at the 2022 Fifa World Cup.
The draw that took place on Wednesday in Kuala Lumpur placed the national team in Group G for the 2nd phase of qualification along with the said countries and including Malaysia and Indonesia.
Currently, the UAE players are in a training camp in Austria with new manager Bert van Marwjik.
He is seeking to bring the team to the global finals, a second time in the history of UAE.
