Amir Khan in line for next bout with Pacquiao

With less than a week before boxing champ Manny Pacquiao faces American Ketih Thurman, another boxer came out to announce that he has agreed to fight with the Filipino favorite.

Amir Khan said he agreed to fight with Pacquiao in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this November 8, Reuters reported.

But Pacquiao’s publicist, Fred Sternberg, denied a deal has been made with the British celebrity boxer.

“Manny has not signed any contract. As far as I know it hasn’t been even discussed,” Sternberg told BBC Sport.

Khan just won the WBC international welterweight title, over Australia’s Billy Dib after only four rounds in Jeddah last July 13.

Forty-year-old Pacquiao is set to fight Thurman in Las Vegas on Saturday (Sunday morning, PHL time).

“Signed off and done, to get Manny Pacquiao is amazing,” Khan was quoted as saying by the BBC.

“To have him sign that dotted line is brilliant. No matter how he does against Thurman I still think it’s a big fight.”
