Banko Perlas weathers Motolite

MANILA, Philippines – Motolite stood their ground against and pushed Banko Perlas Spikers to the wall – but to no avail as the spikers rolled out a 26-24, 32-30, 26-24 victory over them in the 2019 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference at the Filoil Flying V Arena.

According to a report from the independent news portal, Rappler, Kia Bright’s end-to-end game of 20 points and 13 excellent digs and 15 excellent receptions “powered Banko Perlas through the extended-set wins as they climbed to 2-2 in the conference standings.”

Isa Molde lifted Motolite with 16 points but the new team remains winless at 0-3, added the report.

Earlier, Petro Gazz Angels kept the top spot as they downed the winless Balipure Water Defenders in straight sets, 25-19, 25-12, 25-15.

Wilma Salas and Janna Johnson tallied 12 points apiece while Jeanette Panaga emerged as the player of the game, scoring 11 points to power Petro Gazz to a 4-0 record in the standings.

Balipure fell to 0-3 record, said the Rappler report.
