Filipino boxer to compete on Amir Khan’s Show in Saudi Arabia

Filipino featherweight champion Dave “The Hunter” Penalosa will be starring in the undercard of Amir “King” Khan’s show at the King Abdullah Sports Stadium, in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on July 12.

Son of former world champion Dodie Boy Penalosa, the 28-year-old Dave remains unbeaten with a record of 15-0 having 11 KOs.

According to reports, The Hunter’s opponent is still unknown, but Dave’s participation in the Saudi boxing event has been confirmed by his promoter and uncle, Gerry Penalosa.

“We are very happy about this great opportunity for my nephew Dave. We know that he will do his very best. Dave knows that he has our love and support forever,” Gerry Penalosa said.

Produced by Super Boxing League and endorsed by the Saudi Sports Authority, the show is a major boxing event which will be headlined by two-time world champion Amir “King” Khan against Indian star Neeraj Goyat for the WBC “Pearl” welterweight title.
