6 ejections mar TNT-Phoenix match

Six ejections, including a head coach marred the much-awaited match between TNT and Phoenix the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Ynares Center.

TBT won, 114-88 as Terrence Jones reached the 40-point mark anew, scattering 40 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals to bring the KaTropa to their third win in 4 games in the physical match that saw 2 coaches and 4 players thrown out, independent news portal Rappler reported.

“It was as intense at it could get early as Fuel Masters head coach Louie Alas and Jason Perkins were tossed out with just 3 minutes into the game for flagrant misconduct and fighting stance, respectively,” said the Rappler report.

Also involved in the scuffle were TNT’s David and Tony Semerad, who were also ejected for engaging in conduct unbecoming, other media outlets reported.

Minutes after, KaTropa consultant Mark Dickel was also ejected for throwing the ball.
