MANILA, Philippines – The San Antonio Spurs, apparently having gotten their act together following an upset loss, bounced back to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves, 117-107.
Steph Curry put in 36 field goals, including 8 treys, on top of 5 assists and 3 rebounds as the defending champions – who had secured the first playoff berth in the Western Conference – upped their standings at 48-22.
The Timberwolves fought to the last man standing, tying the score at 61 before Curry said game over as the two-time league MVP knocked in 22 points in the 3rd frame, including a 14 run to close the period at 91-75 to their advantage.
Klay Thompson added 28 points and Jonas Jerebko also chipped in 18 for the Warriors.
Kevin Durant did 17 points and Draymond Green tallied 10 rebounds and 9 assists for the Warriors. (AFP photo)
