MANILA, Philippines – NLEX got closer to the playoff with a 122-101 victory over Blackwater that gave them their second straight win in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.
Philip Paniamogan and Poy Erram delivered a fatal one-two punch as and has so far landed on 7th place.
“Limited to just 3 points in the first half, Paniamogan caught fire for 22 points off 4 triples in the final two quarters to help the Road Warriors enjoy a lead as large as 29 points, 84-55,” Rappler reported.
Paniamogan capped the game with 9 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 steals in 24 minutes.
Erram meantime shelled out 20 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks, according to the Rappler report.
Blackwater cut its deficit to nine points early in the period, 86-95, but NLEX ot its act together and brought its lead back to a comfortable 20 points with back-to-back treys from Bong Galanza to bring the score at 110-90.
Galanza put in six triples to finish with 18 points on top of two steals while Kenneth Ighalo had 17 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in the win, said the Rappler report.
