WATCH: Prepping up for the big thing

ILIGAN CITY – Marathon. Triathlon. Endurance Run. Ironman Race. Ultraman Race. You name it and you stand a good chance ending up with Pinoys doing the run for the love it – anywhere around the world.

Just recently in Iligan, a group of long distance runners, led by journalist Bobby Timonera, did a 50-km run in preparation for the big thing.

“It was our longest run before we toe the line at TDR80 (Team Davai Runners 80km ultramarathon) – our first road race of the year,” said the runners on their Facebook post.

There was good motivation to finish it, though: It was also Timonera’s Birthday Run where those who finished were given bragging rights to an all-you-can-eat feast.

Distance: 50km

Gunstart 4:15am Mcdo Tibanga

Route: Mcdo Tibanga (Start) – Initao (U-turn point 37km) – Royal Panda (Finish 50km)
