Scores of Filipino women who have the passion of playing volleyball gathered at the Khalifa University Court in Abu Dhabi last Friday, March 1 as they participated at the Bayanihan Women’s Volleyball Cup 2019.
United Ballers Association (UBA) was hailed as the first-ever champions of the league with Philippine Guardians Centennial Force Incorporated (PCGFI-Knights) following close by at 1st runner up.

The league, spearheaded by Bayanihan Cup 2019 Chairman Ron Precilla and Bayanihan 2018-2020 Chairman Elmer Casao, saw almost a hundred players gather to prove their skills in the game.
Participating teams included: Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mananayaw at Mang-aawit sa Abu Dhabi (OPMMAD), Samahan ng mga OFW sa UAE (SOUAE Slashers), Isabelino Ako, OFW Global Movement for Empowerment (OFWGME), United Filipino Overseas Sports Assocation (UFOSA), Philippine Guardians Centennial Force Incorporated (PCGFI-Knights), United Ballers Association (UBA), OFCEA AUH Builders, and Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers – UAE (PICE-UAE).
