With a line-up of more obstacles than ever before, including six new obstacles, the 2018 edition of du Tough Mudder proved to be the most successful yet with ‘Mudders’ travelling from across the Middle East and further afield to participate. With over 40 tonnes of ice, grade-a mud and 40,000 volts, the two-day event included a 10k course with returning obstacles such as Everest 2.0, The BlockNess Monster and Birth Canal. The event also welcomed back du Mini Mudder, which featured a brand-new 1.5k course designed specifically for adventure-seeking kids aged 7-13.

Commenting on du’s commitment to always deliver exciting experiences in the UAE, Abdulwahed Juma, Executive Vice President – Brand and Communications, du, said: “At du we are committed to bringing the best entertainment from around the world to the UAE and du Tough Mudder continues our promise of delivering high quality experiences to enrich our customers’ lifestyles. Following on from the month-long Dubai Fitness Challenge, du Tough Mudder was the perfect event to train for throughout DFC and our du Tough Mudder pop-up obstacles at Kite Beach during the 30-day challenge emphasized this. We have watched Tough Mudder grow year-on-year from strength to strength, and we look forward to continuing to support the renowned event over the coming years.”

The event also provided visitors with a variety of entertainment including a warm-up zone with trainers from The Warehouse Gym, live DJs, epic sponsor activations and a combination of F&B outlets.
Christian Moufarrej, Event Director for du Tough Mudder commented: “This year’s edition of du Tough Mudder was undoubtedly the best yet. The fun came in all shapes and sizes from du Mini Mudder’s new course to new global obstacles on the adult course for 2018 such as ‘Walk The Plank’, ‘Giant A-Hole’ and ‘Devils Beard’. It was great to see so many participants from our pre-event training sessions with Warehouse Gym conquer our epic obstacles today, after using the programme during Dubai Fitness Challenge to help them prepare to get start-line ready!
