Pinoy architects open Season 8 Intercolor tourney

DUBAI: The Architects Basketball Association (ABA) recently opened its Season 8 Intercolor tournament in Al Ahli Club Stadium.

The annual sports event, with a theme of paying tribute to the great architects around the globe was participated in by 12 teams branding such iconic masters in the field namely Philip Johnson, Zaha Hadid, Frank Gehry, Santiago Calatrava, Kenzo Tange, Mies Van De Rohe, Frank Lloyd Wright, Jean Nouvel,

Le Corbusier, Kisho Kurokawa, Antoni Gaudi and Robert Venturi.

The event was hosted by the ABA Committee officers Don Hatamosa, Benjie San Juan, Junar Aquino, Philip Balangatan, Josh Claveria, Anthony Apolinario and Raymond Cimafranca.

Special guests included tournament sponsor EKA GROUP represented by Director Christos Antoniou and UAP Officers led by Arch Christine Marasigan,

Arch. Ron Aragon and Arch. Lea Contreras.

KENZO TANGE

Children of parents who participated in the league, paraded with their respective teams and showcased their talents in the show.

Officials and the technical committee was handled by JK Sports led by Coach Roland Crisostomo. Games will commence every Thursday night from 7pm and will be held in Handicapped Gym in Al Nahda. (Photos by Augustine Nogrado)
