FEU bags 2018 ABA Interschool title

Dubai: The FEU Tamaraws bagged the 6th Season of the ABA Interschool Tournament, their 3rd championship overall, winning over team El Norte, 46-43 recently at Al Ahli Club Stadium, Dubai.

El Norte squad was leading with 36 seconds remaining in the game when Reydhom Legario hit a clutch jumper while Renz Gaa hit both free throws to grab the lead for good.

No less than PBA Legend Allan Caidic graced the finals event to get the energetic crowd pumped up.

FEU VS EL NORTE WITH PBA LEGEND ALLAN CAIDIC

FEU’s Nick Rodriguez took home the Season MVP while teammate Renz Gaa was awarded Finals MVP. Mythical 5 were handed out to Reydhom Legario (FEU), Arman Salcedo (EL NORTE). Chris Chungtuyco (EL NORTE), Benja Sanchez (UST) and Glenn Ellorin (METRO).

Metro grabbed the 3rd place trophy by winning over UST 49-34.

The annual interschool tournament was participated in by 12 teams representing the different universities and colleges in the Philippines and was hosted by the ABA Committee officers Don Hatamosa, Benjie San Juan, Junar Aquino, Philip Balangatan, Josh Claveria, Anthony Apolinario and Raymond Cimafranca.

FEU-CHAMPIONS

Special guest included Tournament sponsors Arvind Kumar (TECHNAL) and Venkatesh K (MERINT) while the League was officiated by JK Sports led by Coach Roland Crisostomo.

ABA Inter-Color Season 8 shall make it way this coming November.
