The Abu Dhabi Filipino Volleyball Association (ADFIVA) held their one-day ADFIVA Thanksgiving Cup last August 3, 2018 following the successful chairmanship of the recently held Philippine Independence Day Celebration.
More than 50 players comprising of 8 teams battled it out in a round robin format with the Chairman’s team taking the championship. Coming from the one of the last spots with a 4-3 standing and fourth in the ranking climb, they managed to sweep the semi-Finals and Championship Round.
In attendance were Vice Consul Anna Guerra, Bayanihan Chairman Elmer Casao Bayanihan Secretary Inday Sheryl and UAP President and ROHZ Managing Director Rodel Ayala.
“We are honored that with the leadership of ADFIVA Chairman, the Bayanihan Council Sports committee will be spearheaded by your group as well. This will further enhance and strengthen the camaraderie and Sportsmanship among Filipino Community” said Casao on his community speech.
