ABU DHABI: The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers in Abu Dhabi (IIEE-Abu Dhabi) recently organized a one-day Basketball Bayanihan Cup at the Emirates Heritage Club in Abu Dhabi.
The game’s championship pitted the Green team against the Gray team with Green taking the title with a score of 51-36. The Finals MVP was Raymond Resquites with 20 points and 9 rebounds.
According to IIEE-Abu Dhabi’s president Celeste Infante, the main goal of the event is to promote camaraderie among the members of the IIEE Abu Dhabi and IIEE UAE Chapters. She furthers that all proceeds of the one-day league will go to their social responsibility projects: “Upon launching the event, everyone was aware of the fact where the proceeds will go to and a lot of the members and partners responded very positively about it.”
