LeBron James expected to beat Michael Jordan’s title for longest double-digit points streak

Basketball icon LeBron James has just notched his 866th consecutive regular-season game with at least 10 points which now ties him with basketball legend, Michael Jordan.

In a report from ABS-CBN sports, after getting that alley-oop dunk during the second quarter against Charlotte Hornets, James is now in the running to beat Jordan’s longest double-digit points streak.

James started his streak on Jan. 6, 2007 while Jordan’s streak spanned from 1986-2001.

“It just means I’ve kept my body in tune, in shape throughout all these years, all these games, 866,” James told Fox Sports Ohio. “So anytime I’m in the same conversation with Mike and other great guys, it lets me know I’m doing the right thing and hopefully I can try to continue that. To all my teammates over the 866 games, my coaches, everybody, they’ve given me the opportunity to do that, so that’s just very humbling.”
