2018 DUBAI TOUR ACTION

The Dubai Tour, the city’s biggest cycling race, was back from Feb. 6 to 10 for its fifth edition. The race had teams of cyclists from all over the world flocking to Dubai to take part in. Organizers said that in all, there were five days of races covering more than 850km all over the UAE – through Hatta, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah. All races will start off at Skydive Dubai, which is where this year’s Dubai Tour fan village will be based.

Taking part in the Dubai Tour 2018 were 16 teams from countries including Kazakhstan, Bahrain, the USA, and the Netherlands. There was also a Special Guest Team, the UAE National Selection, — a team of riders specially picked to ride with some of the world’s best cyclists.

The event kicked off with a 167-km Nakheel Stage from Skydive Dubai, through to Al Qudra cycle track before heading back to Palm Jumeirah via Umm Suqeim road, Al Khail road and Shaikh Zayed Road.
