Filipino boxer Jonel Dapidran lost to his Australian foe in one of the undercards of the Manny Pacquiao-Jeff Horn bout on Sunday at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia.
The second cousin of Pacquiao on his mother side lost by unanimous decision to Brent Dames in the first of six undercards of the bout dubbed Battle of Brisbane, where the eight division champion will defend his WBO world welterweight title.
Judges scored the six round junior welterweight match 58-56, 58-56, 59-55 in favor of Dames.
Dapidran suffered his second loss in his professional career and the first loss overseas. His record is now 8 wins, 2 losses with four knockouts. Meanwhile, Dames posted his sixth win in nine fights; he had three losses.
