Cancer-stricken Filipina wanted to die beautiful, and she did

A terminally ill 20-year-old Filipina wanted as part of her last wishes to die beautiful, and that wish was granted thanks to her older sister who also documented their story online.

Racine Ouano Pregunta died last April 17, with her sister Rolyn showing the world through social media a smiling photo of Racine’s corpse before thecancer victim was laid to rest.

Racine was diagnosed with a rare kind of bone cancer.

Five days before she died, she told her sister: “If I die, I want to die beautiful.”

According to her sister Rolyn who shared their conversation in Racine’s Facebook profile, the terminally ill Filipina asked that she be dressed in an off-shoulder white dress and a white floral headband when she is laid to rest.

Racine also requested that she be buried beside their late father, but the costs of buying the lot beside their father’s grave would hamper this wish. Racine supposedly agreed to be laid on top of her father’s grave instead.

Racine planned for her funeral, and her story has gained a substantial following in social media.

Her sister’s post – prefaced with the line “Let me tell you how Racine prepared her departure” – has thus far gained 33,000 likes and 8,400 comments. Commenters extended their condolences to Racine’s family.
