Drugs found in food delivered to Dubai police station

A restaurant delivery man was arrested after the Dubai Police discovered drugs in one of the food orders delivered to the station.

Cops found narcotics in one of the meals as an Asian delivery worker from a nearby cafeteria delivered eight rice meals to a Gulf national working with the police.

He said that the order was placed using a credit card with a request for the meals to be delivered at the detention centre.

The order raised suspicion of the officers who proceeded to search the meals.

The police found a lighter, medwakh (pipe), and a box containing three red and white capsules with suspected drug substances

Police said that the employees of the cafeteria, the manager, told them that the detainee requested the worker for the preparation of the rice meals and asked for its delivery at the police station.

The employees also provided the details of the vehicle of the detainee which was previously seized for being driven under the influence of drugs.
