President Rodrigo Duterte pens message of solidarity for Muslims in celebration of Eid al Fitr

President Rodrigo Duterte shares a message of peace and good tidings as Filipino Muslims and faithful from around the world celebrate the end of the Ramadan period, the Eid Al Fitr that begins today, May 24.
Duterte hopes that the period of prayer has provided inner strength and fortitude for Muslim brothers and sisters to be stewards of peace, love and understanding.
“May the clarity of thought and wisdom that you have attained from this undertaking inspire you to be the living examples of what is best in the Islamic faith,” said President Duterte in his message.

The President furthered that it is through benevolent actions and deeds where learnings and virtues from religious scriptures come to life as the faithful attest to the goodness of the Creator.
“Harnessing the best of our capabilities and perspectives, let us be agents of change in our communities as we contribute to the enlightenment of our nation,” said President Duterte.
