COVID-19 claims 48 lives of Filipinos in UAE

The death toll among Filipinos who have died from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the UAE rose to 48, according to Philippine Consul-General Paul Raymund Cortes.
Among them are 43 Filipinos living and working in Dubai and Northern Emirates, while five are based in Abu Dhabi.
Included in the reported deaths are three Filipino nurses working as frontliners in the Gulf state.
Cortes did not mention how many Filipinos have tested positive for COVID-19 but assured that they are closely monitoring the health condition of all Filipinos who tested positive for COVID-19.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the UAE stands at 25,063 with 10,791 recoveries and 227 deaths.
