Italy to allow unrestricted travel to and from EU countries starting June 3

The government of Italy has recently approved allowing free movement to and from other European countries starting June 3.
According to report, Italian premier Giuseppe Conte said that the move is a calculated risk and that the cases might rise again. However, he added that their economy can no longer afford to wait for a vaccine.
The decree, added reports from Italian media, will also allow traveling between the country’s regions. As of today, residents are now allowed to travel within their respective regions without permits.
This decision, along with the EUR55 billion stimulus package rolled out by the government, is part of Italy’s efforts to mitigate the economic impact brought by coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Starting May 18, the country will also allow the reopening of restaurants, salons, museums, and churches, with strict observance regarding social distancing.
